Halloween recipes for kids


Do you want to try some recipes for Halloween with your kids?

They are easy to prepare and also look great for the little ones.

Halloween Spider Bark



Step 1

Line a 9 x 13-in. pan with parchment paper, leaving at least 1 in. of overhand on the two long sides.


Step 2

Arrange pretzels or cookies on bottom of the pan to cover it completely.


Step 3

Place white chocolate in a medium microwave-safe bowl and melt on 50 percent power in 30-second increments until smooth. Carefully pour white chocolate over pretzels or cookies and spread with a small offset spatula to evenly cover


Step 4

Place semisweet chocolate in a small microwave-safe bowl and melt on 50 percent power in 30-second increments until smooth. Let sit at room temperature for 5 minutes, then transfer to a small resealable bag, cut off a small corner, and use to pipe webs.


Step 5

To make spiders, place small and large malt balls cut side

down on white chocolate while still wet, then pipe black

royal icing eyes and legs.




Black Animal Doughnuts



Total time: 25mins

Yields: 28 servings


Step 1

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place a wire rack on top.


Step 2

Place chocolate in a bowl. In a saucepan, heat cream until hot but not boiling. Pour over chocolate, let sit 2 minutes, then stir until melted and smooth.

Stir in a frew drops of food coloring to tint black.


Step 3

Using two forks, dip each doughnut in chocolate, tapping off any excess, then transfer to a wire rack to set,

Decorate them as much as you like.











Spider Cupcakes


Total time: 1h 30mins

Yields: 24 cupcakes


Step 1

Prepare cupckaes according to package directions and let them cool out completely.


Step 2

Cut licorice into 3 inch sections. Working with one or two cupcakes at a time, so the frosting doesn’t set before decorating.

Frost the cupcakes with the white frosting.


Step 3

Insert licorive pieces into the outer edges of the cupcakes to make the legs of the spifers, 3 legs on each side.


Step 4

Place two pieces of candy corn on the front of the cupcakes for fangs and use two red hots as eyes.


Step 5

Sprinkle with decorator sugar.
